Greetings from Dennis Travale
Mayor of Norfolk County
On behalf of the Council of the Corporation of Norfolk County, I extend a warm welcome to everyone attending Friday the 13th celebrations. It is an event that has grown from humble beginnings to unexpected proportions. People from across Ontario, the country, North America and the world drop in to experience the camaraderie, fellowship, and good times.
Staff members of Norfolk County and large numbers of volunteers work hard with local non-profit groups to ensure that food, refreshments and other basic essentials are available for the large crowds. I take this opportunity to commend the organizers, sponsors, staff and volunteers. We know that people love to walk the streets of our beautiful Erie port town to see all the colourful bikes.
While you are here, try to find time to visit the many other beautiful and interesting sites of Norfolk County. Pick up a brochure and map at the Board of Trade or one of many other locations in the county.
There will be plenty to eat at Friday the 13th.
The Port Dover Kinsmen Club offers camping at the Port Dover Kin Park on the East end of Port Dover on Highway 6.
